Advanced Service Technician
 
Due to tremendous growth, NHC is looking to add Hoist and Overhead Crane Technicians to our team. We are looking for reliable self-motivated people that are interested in becoming key team player’s in long term positions. Our industry deals with products that are in high demand and there is huge potential for growth.
 
We sell, fabricate, install, inspect, maintain and repair hoists and cranes.  We need qualified technicians with mechanical and electrical experience to learn all aspects of the hoist and crane business. Occasional overnight travel and overtime will be required. Vacation, holidays, uniforms, short term disability, life insurance, tools and work vehicle are provided and health, dental and vision insurance is available. Drug test and driving record check will be performed prior to hiring and at random times during employment.

Duties will include:
  • Conducting on-site troubleshooting to determine cause of mechanical, electrical or structural issues with hoists and cranes that are not working
  • Creating report for customer detailing repairs necessary and obtain signature from Customer acknowledging Service Call
  • Turning in report to sales department including list of parts needed for repair
  • Completing necessary repairs per work orders issued by sales department
  • Assisting with installation of new equipment
 
Successful Candidate will:
  • Be knowledgeable and understand OSHA, ANSI, CMAA and HMI codes and regulations that pertain to hoists and cranes.
  • Be responsible for any tools, vehicles or other equipment issued by NHC
  • Be physically able to lift, climb ladders, maneuver around equipment and be comfortable with heights
  • Follow all rules, regulations and safety standards
  • Be able to pay attention to detail and have ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Have ability to work independently or with a team
  • Have high school diploma or equivalent; electrical mechanical education a plus
  • Be able to read and work from blue prints, schematics, manuals and understand verbal instructions.
 
Experience:
  • 3-4 years mechanical, electrical maintenance experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting with single phase and three phase power including variable frequency drives
  • Identifying equipment parts and components that are required to repair and maintain equipment
  • Lockout/Tagout

​Office Assistant

NHC is a small retail, manufacturing and service company that sells, fabricates, installs, inspects, maintains and repairs hoists and cranes.   Due to tremendous growth, we are looking to add a receptionist/office assistant to our team.  The person we hire will be self-motivated and reliable and be interested in becoming a key team player in a long term position.
Duties to include:
  • Answering telephone and taking messages
  • Filing paid invoices
  • Keeping information up to date for Customers, Vendors and Management Companies
  • Compiling Equipment Manuals for our Customers
  • Assisting Salesmen with keeping files in order
  • Keeping Vehicle records up to date including processing registration renewal
  • Keeping track of cleaning supplies and share housekeeping duties
  • Keeping track of technician uniforms and working with Uniform Company
Successful Candidate will have:
  • Three years' experience, preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and multi task
  • Be able to work independently or with a team
  • Good Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and QuickBooks
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Listening skills with ability to follow instruction
  • Professional demeanor and strong ethical code including handling very confidential information
  • Ability to maintain exceptional attendance
Starting wage will be between $14 and $15 per hour with 90 day review. Hours will be 8:00 to 5:00 per day with an hour lunch. We are flexible with either a 4 or 5 day work week. Benefits include Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Short Term Disability and Life Insurance. Health, Vision and Dental insurance is available. Drug test will be performed prior to hiring and at random times during employment.
